Enjoyed
From the minute I picked up this book i had a hard time putting it down as was the case in the first book. The characters are very easy to like, hope and cheer for as well as fear and cringe from the evil characters. Very fun read!
This series is pact full of adventure, romance, and friendship. I enjoyed this book as well as the first one. If you are in anyway a fan of witches, mages, and shifters then this is the series for you. The books are well written and characters are easy to identify with. All I can say is.... loved it!
The second book in the series is as well written and convincing as the first. Each character compliments the others, and the flow of information runs smoothly, complimenting the series. There are many surprising turns and twists to the story. Read on and discover why Valerie Zambito is right up there with the best.
A good series with a great second installment. The characters grow & the betrayals weren't to obvious. Definitely worth a read.
This is a wonderful read, a great story of friendship. It has a little something for everyone in it. Love, lies, magic.
Its about 4 friends and how their lives have changed in about 6 years since the battle they were in. They have been through a lot together and the friendship still grows between them.
It had me laughing, and almost crying.
I highly recommend this book but only after you have read the first one.
I definitely enjoy the young adult genre fantasy. It has all the adventure I crave, the twisted plots that can only be won with magic or paranormal power, and generally a very moving love story also entwined in the book. What sets it apart from adult fantasy, is that I don't have to page through pages and pages of almost pornographic lovemaking. This is an excellent series. This is the second book. I read the file and immediately bought the next two. Now, I understand there is a fourth and another series. I'm looking forward to reading the rest by this author.
After reading the prequel to this book, An Oath of the Blood, I couldn't wait to delve right in.
Once again, I am so happy to have stumbled onto these stories. The characters are so real and the dynamic between their relationships is just so fun to read. I find it so easy to relate to all of them on so many different levels which is great. Even characters with amazing fantastical abilities are still "human" at the core and experience the same emotions that we all have.
This story picks up several years after the first book ends and I think the timeline is perfect. Even though I had just finished the first book a little over a week ago, Zambito does a great job of reiterating key points from the last novel to bring the reader up to speed without slowing down the pace of the story. The new characters and problems that she introduces are just as interesting and amazing as in the first book. I found myself falling in love with a certain five year old little girl as if she were my own.
The action is great. The world, as amazing as it was in the first book, still held many new wondrous things to discover this time around. Zambito does a great job describing every character and place in vivid detail.
I loved the plot changes. The deception was great. I am often pretty good at reading into where a story is going but this book moved along so fast and had me so intrigued that I didn't even have time to consider what was going to happen and found myself shocked and surprised on many occasions.
This book will make you cringe, laugh, cry and tingle with excitement. Anyone who loves a good fantasy novel needs to pick this up. But read the prequel first!
I will be gnawing at the bit waiting for the third book to be released.
